DXC - Development of Exceed Suite of Insurance Products

In the initial days of my career I had experience being involved in the development and implementation of EXCEED suite of products which is a proprietary Property and Casualty Insurance product of DXC (previously called CSC).
I developed an understanding of the Insurance domain across Property and Liability, Personal Insurance and Commercial Insurance.
The experience at DXC provided me a base in Product Management as a fresh MBA graduate.
Business Problem Statement:
The Exceed Policy Administration module from DXC is an integrated solution for complete policy administration and processing that allows customers, agents, and customer service reps to access information about their policy over the Web using a standard browser. Features of Exceed Policy Administration include: flexible data capture, which allows users to enter data using drop-downs and list boxes and enables setting of defaults for commonly entered data; quick quote, for producing quick premium quotes using the minimum amount of information needed to calculate the rate; as well as features for document production and accessing third-party data for risk evaluation or new premiums.

I was involved in building the core functionalities of some of the features of the product.
Delivery Methodology
Waterfall was the method of choice at the time with Software Engineering Principles by Pressman as the foundation for Software Engineering.

Achievement & Publications
One of the highights of my stint at CSC Indore was being chosen as the winner of 10th Young Manager’s Competition representing CSC organized by Indore Management Association on the theme: “CORPORATE INDIA – Road mapping Leadership” in two categories: Winning Team and Best Written Presentation
I was also a keen leader in organizing P&C Socials - a week long event for the entire delivery center at CSC Indore.
As a result of our successs, we were invited to participated in Senior Executive meet (Strategy session) as winners of Young Manager's competition by AIMA. We presented a session on leadership at the executive meet.
